The University of Twente




The University of Twente offers research and degree programmes in technology, and in the social and behavioural sciences. The degree programmes at the University range from business studies and applied physics, to biomedical technology and psychology. From the outset, the University of Twente has sought to put the applied sciences in a wider social context. Read more

The national educational system of the Netherlands

netherlands_flag Education policy is coordinated by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, together with municipal governments. Compulsory education in the Netherlands starts at the age of five, although in practice, most schools accept children from the age of four. From the age of sixteen there is a partial compulsory education, meaning a pupil must attend some form of education for at least two days a week.   Read more
